Electric tailgate functions

The electric tailgate can be controlled by the tailgate switch and the vehicle key.

When the electric tailgate is opened or closed, obstacles are encountered, and the tailgate can stop running to protect the user.

Install step

1. Appearance of 5008
2. Remove the middle trim panel.
3. Remove the screws on both sides
and remove the left and right panels.
4. Remove the screws on the
left and right sides of the large trim.
5. Remove nuts.
6. Remove nut.
7. Remove door trim panel.
8. Dismantel the screws of the wiper.
9. Remove the woper screw.
10. Dismantle the screw.
11. Remove the large decorate panel.
12. Remove the retaining ring of
the original vehicle strut with tools,
and remove the strut(same left and right)
13. Remove the original vehicle
bracket(same left and right)
14. Install our bracket(L left R
right) and use original screw.
15. Install the electric poles
16. Drill holes(16mm) around
the same position in the
figure.(Left and right the same)
17. Plug the rubber-plug of pole
cable inside the hole(left and right)
18.Pull out the harness connector of
tailgate handle and connect it with
our related connector.
19.Pull out the original harness port of
Tailgate lock and connect it with our plug
20.Remove side trim around the
steering wheel
21.Remove below panel of
steering wheel
22.Use power cord connect it to a 20A
constant fuse to get Power
23.Take off OBD plug at the
Under right of steering wheel.
24. Connect our yellow unlock wire to the
white wire(central control lock signal wire) of
OBD, as shown.
25.Make a hole(16mm) on the trim,
Install the front button here.
26. Connect the ground wire in
the tailgate screw as shown
27. Remove the original lock ring
28. Install our lock ring.
29. Fixing the lock motor here
with 3M glue.
30. Pry open the decorative plate
buckle of the truck.
31. Thread the harness which of
Connection with control box
through the pipe.
32. Pull out enough length of wiring harness
To connect the controller.
33. Thread the wiring harness through
The side decoration panel.
34.Drill a hole (22mm) on the left side
of tail gate, and Install the tailgate button.
35.Use you hand to manually close the
tailgate once for the first time to
initialization system. Test every button
make sure the functions has no
problem. Recover the trim.
Finish the installation.

Remarks: After installing the electric tailgate lift, you must use your hand close the tailgate softly for the first time and then open it. Finally, the installation is complete.

How to use the remote control: Press the key unlock button 3 times within 4s to open or close the tailgate; Cab button: Press to open the tailgate and press it to close the tailgate.
