Tesla Model 3 Highland Exports Are Gathering In Shanghai Port

Tesla's Gigafactory Shanghai is ramping up production of the new Model 3 sedan for exports, according to drone footage and observations by Tesla watchers. The new Model 3 features a number of updates, including a new interior design, a longer driving range, and improved performance.
What happened: In a recent video uploaded on YouTube, Tesla watcher Wu Wa observed that Giga Shanghai is prioritizing the production of the new Model 3 for exports. This was evident in the large fleet of new Model 3 sedans that are waiting to be exported at the Shanghai Southport Terminal.
Drone footage taken of the Shanghai Southport Terminal revealed that several sections of the area were covered by Tesla Model 3 Highland units.
What it means: The sighting of the massive fleet of new Model 3 sedans at the Shanghai Southport Terminal is a positive sign for Tesla, as it suggests that the company is on track to meet its production targets for the year. Tesla has said that it aims to produce 1.8 million vehicles in 2023, up from 1.3 million vehicles in 2022.
It also suggests that Giga Shanghai’s ramp of the Model 3 Highland is going well.
An important note: It is unclear when Tesla will begin deliveries of the new Model 3 to customers in China. However, the fact that Giga Shanghai is already ramping up production of the vehicle for exports suggests that deliveries could begin soon.
The new Model 3 is one of Tesla's most highly-anticipated vehicles today. Early reviews of the vehicle have been very positive, with some stating that the update to the all-electric sedan made an already excellent car even better.
