Elon Musk Clarifies His Role in the Production of the Original Tesla Roadster

As the founder of Tesla, it is no secret that Elon Musk has been working hard to make electric vehicles more accessible to the masses. However, some claim that Musk's role in the design of the Tesla Roadster was much less than he would have you believe.

In a recent Twitter exchange, Jake Broe claimed that the original Tesla Roadster was designed by Tesla co-founders Martin Eberhard and Mark Tarpenning, who started their company in 2004. Broe revealed the names of these two individuals as proof that they were responsible for coming up with the design.

However, Twitter user @SamTwits responded that this information was misleading because Musk invested early on in Series A rounds back when Tesla was still in its' infancy stage. He also pointed out that Elon Musk had led the original Roadster's design.

Elon Musk responded by saying he was head of product and led the design of the original Roadster.

The CEO of Tesla has responded to claims that he did not lead the design of the original Tesla Roadster.

In a series of tweets, Musk stated that he was the head of product at Tesla and led the design of the original Roadster. He said he was wealthy but feared risking his money on what would later become one of the most popular electric cars in history.

Musk also mentioned that ArtCenter College of Design awarded him with a degree for his designs featured on the original Tesla roadster.

Elon Musk, a co-founder of Tesla Motors, has been the face of the company since its inception. He is known as a visionary and a leader who has pushed the boundaries of innovation in the automotive industry.

In 2003, Tesla Motors was incorporated by Eberhard and Tarpenning. Elon Musk joined the company in 2004 as one of its first investors, along with Ian Wright and J.B. Strauble.

In 2009, Eberhard sued Tesla for stock options that he believed he deserved but were not granted to him by Musk or other parties within the company.

A settlement was reached between Eberhard and Tesla under which all five co-founders–including Elon Musk–can call themselves co-founders of Tesla Motors.

It's hard to miss the Tesla Roadster in your rearview mirror—its sleek design and bright red finish are unmistakable. The power of this electric vehicle is also hard to miss, with its astounding speed and range. But what sets this car apart is its high-tech features.
