Really good screen. Only one thing I wish it did and that would be the ability to turn off the startup screen I feel it cheapens the car

I bit the bullet and finally installed this after having it for longer than Ive had my car?. It was difficult in that the being new, everything was held together tightly. I first started with the front camera install and dutifully remove everything inside the frunk area as per installation instructions. All good, but downhill after that. I tried to thread the camera cable through the front grill area as instructed but not a hope. Couldnt find any openings what so ever. Shined a light through, nothing at which point I gave up on the camera idea. Even getting to the little rubber plug in the firewall was next to impossible, so I felt a little justified.
I then concentrated on the screen itself. I pulled off the side rubber seal (very tightly attached) and then the side of the dashboard, and finally, the panel under the glovebox. This is a RHD car so I didnt need to do all the extra panel removal that is in the installation video. I then accessed the obd port to plug in the cables to go to the screen (theres not much room in there so be careful not to break any wiring). Next, I removed the panel on top of the steering wheel which was relatively easy and started to feed a puller wire down so I could pull up the cable from the obd port. Word of caution here. I fed the wire along the right side of the steering column and it was tight but it went through, however, theres wasnt enough clearance to be able to pull the cable up. I tried the other side of the column and that was easier and there was plenty of space for the cable to come through. Once that was done, I connected everything up and everything worked as it should. I then reassembled everything which, luckily was easy than the disassemble ?. Replacing the rubber door trim was a little problematic as it appeared too long but a little perseverance and it was all good.
The unit is great. Id got used to using the speedo on the main Tesla screen after a month but once having this, I realised what Id been missing. Having CarPlay with the corresponding maps was a huge bonus too.
One thing I will say though, there is no operating manual for the screen and I took me a while to work out how to bring up the settings menus, (swipe left from the right hand side of the screen), but after that. All good.
All in all a great little addition to the car and one I now find very useful. I dont miss the camera at all, so thats not a problem.

Excellent display complementary to Tesla’s

Quality of display is very satisfactory, very responsive and in immediate synchronisation with the main Tesla screen. In my opinion, size is adequate. One recommendation for improvement: the display is a bit too low and its bottom is easily partly hidden by the center part of the driving wheel. 1 cm higher would be perfect.
As regards installation, all provided parts are well designed: plugs perfectly fit, cables are of the required length. I found quite difficult to remove the side cabin panels, may be because I did the installation at a low outside temperature (plastic clips are harder). The plugs with the display are difficult to push inside before the final clipping of the support of the display; I believe that the cable with the display could be shorter to facilitate this operation. With the display one centimetre higher as recommended above, it would also give more rooms for the plug.
Beside that, I am very satisfied. One last comment: an operation manual is missing.
