Q1 Black Screen (Screen Installed but Not Lighting Up)

Reason

  1. Other factors may cause abnormal operation of the microprocessor
  2. If the main unit plug is disconnected and not reconnected within 5 minutes
  3. Ensure that the main unit or screen plug is securely inserted

Solution

  1. Please restart the vehicle key
  2. Connect the wiring harness, lock the vehicle for 2 hours, ensuring that the mobile phone and remote key are within a distance of over 20 meters from the car. Afterward, check if the screen can light up.
  3. please reconnect the main unit plug

Q2 No display upon startup

Great

Installation instructions lack details, but I could find some information on YouTube. Nice to eventually get a front camera and Waze on my Model Y. Some bugs sometimes when I'm using Android auto and want to switch to the front cam pressing the right steering wheel toggle for 4 secs (I get a black screen). I also can't prevent the device from dealing with the phone calls.I'd rather have them routed on my Tesla than on this device but couldn't find out how to do it!

Overall, great product, but the screen is too blue

So far, I’m really enjoying the screen display system but the screen that’s supposed to be white is just too blue.

Can this be fixed via software update?

If not, there should be users option to change the hue to make it less blue.

Also, is it possible to bypass the intro with the car and logo?

Otherwise, this so far is a great product!

My Tesla model three differs quite a bit from the one shown in YouTube videos. Eventually I was able to temporarily install the display which appeared to be working, but it caused the car to go crazy I was only able to back up but not move forward. Fortunately I was able to remove the cabling restore the car to normal and replace all the trim. That was too close for comfort. If I had needed to call Tesla service and admit I've been tinkering with the wiring I'm sure I would've been in for a large bill. I've also learned that some of the connectors in the cable harness are only designed for two insertion removal cycles, so the risk of permanent damage to a connector needs to be considered.
