Rivian Factory Is Full Of Amazon Electric Delivery Vans

Rivian’s electric vehicle factory is pumping out tons of Electric Delivery Vans (EDVs). These vehicles, which are part of a 100,000-strong order placed by Amazon, represent a major step towards the e-commerce giant's net-zero carbon goals for 2040.
The video of Rivian’s EDV fleet was posted on YouTube by @devodare_chicago7748, who has been following the development of the EV maker’s factory over the past months. EV fans on X were mostly impressed by Rivian’s EDV ramp, as it suggests that the company is just quietly executing on its goals.
Rivian and Amazon’s partnership was born from The Climate Pledge in 2019. Since then, the project has become a fleet of state-of-the-art delivery vehicles. Amazon estimates millions of metric tons of carbon emissions will be saved annually by the initiative when it matures.

Following a summer 2022 rollout in the US, the program has rapidly expanded. Europe welcomed its first batch recently, with over 300 vans slated to hit German roads soon, joining thousands of other electric vans already operating across the continent. Rivian’s EDVs may have an edge against other electric vans in Europe, as the vehicle is custom designed for package deliveries.
Today, Rivian’s EDVs are delivering packages in over 1,800 US cities. These include the following locations: Alpharetta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Grand Rapids, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Madison, Miami, Nashville, New York, Newark, Oakland, Omaha, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Provo, Rochester, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa and Toledo.
As per Amazon's official website, Rivian’s Electric Delivery Vans have successfully delivered over 260 million packages to US customers.
Rivian’s quiet execution is impressive. As production and deployment of the electric delivery vans accelerate, EV fans can expect to see more and more of the clean vehicles zipping through their neighborhoods.
