Tesla China Prepares Another Batch Of Model 3 Highland Exports From Giga Shanghai

Tesla is exporting thousands of upgraded Model 3 units from Giga Shanghai, according to drone footage of the Shanghai Nangang Terminal.

What's happening: Tesla is exporting thousands of Model 3 Highland vehicles from Giga Shanghai, according to drone footage of the Shanghai Nangang Terminal. The new Model 3 is only being produced at Giga Shanghai, as Tesla's Fremont Factory still manufactures the vehicle's older generation. Giga Shanghai thus provides the world's supply of new Model 3 "Highland" units for now. 

As can be seen in a recent drone flyover from Wu Wa, Tesla China is preparing to export another large batch of Model 3 Highland vehicles abroad. The vehicles will likely arrive at their destination this fourth quarter.

What to watch: It will be interesting to see how quickly Tesla can scale production of the new Model 3 at Giga Shanghai. The company has faced challenges with production in the past, but it has also made significant strides in recent years. If Tesla can successfully ramp up production of the new Model 3, it will be well-positioned to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles around the world.
