Rivian Drives Home 'Best Luxury Brand' Title in U.S. News' Best Vehicle Brands of 2024 Awards

U.S. News & World Report has unveiled its 2024 Best Vehicle Brand and Best CPO Program awards. According to U.S. News, among the 38 car brands it evaluated, electric vehicle maker Rivian was found the “Best Luxury Brand.” 

This is a major accomplishment for the young automaker, which was only founded in 2009. Rivian's innovative approach to luxury, blending cutting-edge technology with bold design, seems to be resonating with drivers and industry experts alike. In a press release, U.S. News emphasized Rivian’s innovative approach to its luxury trucks. 

Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars, shared a comment about the award. "Our Best Vehicle Brand awards recognize the automakers that produce vehicles that best align with consumer interests. Finding the right brand can be an important step toward buying the right vehicle. Our 2024 award winners deserve to be high on the shopping list for car buyers who are in the market for a new car, SUV, truck or luxury vehicle,” he said. 

U.S. News posted its reason behind its Rivian award in the following section. 

“Rivian is a California-based automobile manufacturer that builds electric vehicles. Founded in 2009, the company’s core products include electric trucks and SUVs that are designed to provide comfortable driving dynamics and strong off-road capability. Rivian began production with the all-electric 2022 R1T pickup truck, which has an EPA-estimated driving range of 314 miles. The brand’s tech features include partially automated self-driving technologies, such as the ability to automatically adjust speed or steer the vehicle,” the news site wrote. 

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe also posted his gratitude for the award on social media.
